Constantly evaluate your Mental well-being:
There is a large and growing body of evidence about what makes people happy and enhances their well-being, and we can control many of these things. Several critical factors characterize people with high well-being who ‘flourish’ in their lives. These include positive emotions and engagement. It is important to strengthen our core thinking to become resilient and obtain stable mental health.
1. The first thing is knowing your Purpose – People who have a deep sense of their purpose understand why they are doing what they are doing. They know what value they add to their profession, industry, company, department, family, or society. For example, my purpose can be supporting my family and contributing to the global economy by moving things from one geographical location to another.
Without a purpose, whatever we do looks meaningless.
Purpose drives us from our bed every morning and excites us to do better. Without a purpose, we won’t know how to judge the satisfaction level or be happy about the accomplishment. My purpose is to help people live better lives- both personally. Every time I contribute to the success of a person or organization, I feel accomplished!

3. Try to have positive emotions by Doing things that make you happy. A happy person can fight many adversities.
4. Stay engaged with what is happening and remain involved. Contributing actively keeps us engaged and helps nurture relationships with others, creates a sense of belongingness, and makes us feel wanted.
5. Accomplish your goals & dreams -Continue challenging yourself to achieve higher goals. Nothing excites us more than success.

Ask yourself questions like “What am I grateful for?” “What’s causing me stress?” and “What can I improve on?” Be honest with yourself, and don’t hesitate to seek support when needed. By consistently monitoring your mental health, you can identify potential issues before they escalate, cultivate resilience, and make intentional choices to nurture your mind and spirit. Remember, mental well-being is a journey, not a destination – stay committed to your self-care and prioritize your mental health every day.
A story on How To Evaluate your Mental well-being:
“Meet Captain James, who prioritizes the mental well-being of his crew. He regularly checks in with them, asking about their stress levels, mood, and overall mental health. He also encourages open conversations about their struggles and concerns. During a recent voyage, he noticed that one of his crew members, Sarah, seemed withdrawn and quiet. He pulled her aside and asked if everything was okay. She opened up about her struggles with anxiety and feeling overwhelmed. Captain James listened attentively and connected her with resources for support.

– What barriers might prevent you from seeking support for mental health concerns while at sea?
– How can we create a culture where mental well-being is prioritized and supported on board?
– What resources or support systems would you like to see available for mental health at sea?”
I hope this will help you to understand in detail.
