Shattering Stereotypes in Style: A Night of Reflection, Inclusion & Action
At Strive-High Pte. Ltd., we believe that the true measure of progress lies not only in performance metrics and achievements but in how inclusively we grow as a society.
Our Founder and CEO, Ms. Preeti Dubey, recently had the honour of attending the Disabled People’s Association’s (DPA) annual Charity Gala Dinner, themed “Shattering Stereotypes in Style.” The evening was not only beautifully curated but deeply thought-provoking, shining a powerful spotlight on inclusion, access, and the right to equal opportunity.
The event, graced by Guest of Honour Mr. Eric Chua, Senior Parliamentary Secretary at MCCY and MSF, highlighted stories that often remain unheard—stories of resilience, barriers faced by persons with disabilities, and the transformative power of empathy and empowerment. DPA President Ms. Cassandra Chiu, alongside other speakers, shared poignant experiences that left a lasting impact.
“It made me ask: when the world is not a level playing field, should we simply bask in our own sunshine—or should we rise and extend a hand to those still struggling for access, dignity, and opportunity?”
— Preeti Dubey, CEO & Founder, Strive-High Pte. Ltd.
Inclusion Is Not a Privilege—It Is a Right
At the heart of the evening was a difficult truth: diversity and inclusion are often overlooked in the pursuit of bottom-line results. Yet, the human cost of exclusion is far greater. Access to education, employment, and even everyday experiences are things many of us take for granted—yet remain out of reach for many individuals with disabilities.
This realization urges us to reflect on a deeper question:
Is a well-lived life measured by the wealth we accumulate—or by the experiences we share and the lives we enrich along the way?
At Strive-High, we have always been committed to equity, not just in words, but in action. From inclusive leadership training to fostering psychological safety in the workplace, we stand for a future where every individual, regardless of ability, has the tools and opportunities to thrive.
Our Ongoing Commitment
We extend our deepest respect to the Disabled People’s Association for their tireless work and for inspiring all of us to do more. Their mission to empower individuals with disabilities through advocacy and support is aligned with our own values of empathy-driven development.
As a company, we pledge to:
-
Incorporate inclusive practices in all our training programs and community outreach
-
Partner with organizations advancing accessibility and equity
-
Challenge unconscious bias in leadership and corporate culture
-
Champion soft skills that foster connection, compassion, and cultural sensitivity
The event was a powerful reminder that real leadership lies in lifting others up. We are proud to stand in solidarity with those working to make inclusion a reality, not a rare act of charity, but a norm of equity.
